ANZAC Day 2020

Anzac Day on the 25th of April is one of Australia’s most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps during the First World War.
ANZAC Day 2020

On this day the Ringers Western team will be recognising the courage, mateship, skill and perseverance of those who have served, fought and given their lives in the military to spare us, future generations, the trials of conflict. This day holds a special place in our hearts here at Ringers Western, we will continue to commemorate the suffering and the toll that combat took on each individual's life - a sacrifice that demands the utmost respect. It is a day where our family will pay respects and show love, honour and support for remembering what they did for us, for you and for this country.

In light of the recent events by COVID-19, Australians are being encouraged to honour service personnel on Anzac Day this year by paying their respects on social media and in their driveways. Families across the nation are asked to stand at their gates, on balconies or verandahs at 5:50am and hold a candle to fallen heroes.

We personally would like to thank all the men and women who have served and/or who are currently serving our country. We are thinking of those deployed in different areas around the world on this day. With the majority of our staff having served in the Australian Defence Force, this day means just that little more to us all here.

Nothing can ever take away the importance of Anzac Day and what it means to all of us, especially those who are currently serving along with all veterans and their families.

Each year we continue to celebrate Anzac day with pride in our hearts and we hope you can join us with the rest of the nation on Saturday 25th April at 6am to take a moment and pay your respects to those who have fallen - for us and our country.

We will remember them. Lest we forget.

The ABC will be nationally broadcasting the National Commemorative Service live from 5:30 am this Anzac Day.
